Happy birthday Sweet Pea!

Just a little recap of Sarah's birthday - I had a photographer come to take pictures of the party but here are a couple from the day. It was a beautiful day, we went to the park in the morning and then her party was later in the day.

What would a first birthday be without a little birthday bruise?

She's getting in MOLARS. Already - so she was a little cuddly after her nap. I didn't mind.

This was at 610pm (or maybe 612pm) - she was born at 610pm. I can't believe she was still awake and was in such a good mood. It was so sweet to spend that time with her.

I'm so thankful we've made it this far. She's grown so much, she's started drinking whole milk last week and is doing pretty good with it. I cannot believe how fast this year has gone when at times it felt like it was taking forever.

Sarah will be one in less than a week! I can and can't believe it. It's definitely felt like it's been a year!

The weather has been gorgeous so we've been spending lots of time outside. The smell of sunblock on the kids is now a regular thing again.

She loves being outside. Absolutely loves it.

Not happy in the tree - he said it was too high.

This is his happy face.

At the zoo!!

Stuck in the stroller.

At another park. I just love this dress. Too bad it's a 12 month size and too small on her already! (one of the buttons popped open while she was playing!)

J is becoming quite good with our camera!

Jumping boy. (this was the landing, I just couldn't time it well enough to catch the jump!)

Crazy or cute? You decide.

Picture of us from J.

Another cute one of Jeremiah. I think this is the first blog in awhile where there have been more pictures of J than Sarah. And that's only because I bribe him into letting me take a picture of him by promising to let him use the camera after I do.

Uncle Feve!

My brother, Steve, came to visit us here in Arizona. We picked him up from the airport and Jeremiah was so excited! Of course, once he got in the car, J was very shy and didn't start talking until about 20 minutes. (I enjoyed the silence!)

Sarah loves touching people's eyes/eyelashes, Steve thought it was the funniest thing.

She really liked hanging out with him.

We took Uncle Steve to the children's museum and as expected, he enjoyed it as much as the kids did!

Lunch at Applebees...

J & Uncle Steve. Such a serious kid!

Just a couple of close ups of the kids.

Busy weekend

We've had a busy and fun weekend!

Saturday morning we went to the Via Colori festival in Glendale. Out of the few free events this weekend in the valley, I figured it would be the least crowded. (Is it bad that's what I base my decisions on? It's just easier manuvering a stroller and crazy J through small crowds instead of big ones!) We had fun!

We were there early - the artists getting set up.

Playing on the stage.

A little throwing before bed.

This morning...lazing around before heading to Casa Grande for a party.

My cute kids and I. (J was an absolute crank this morning, I'm assuming that's why he didn't want his picture taken.)

Like all classy people, we ate in the garage! This wasn't the original plan, but the day was cold, rainy and windy, so eating outside was only an option for the crazies.

Here are some crazies playing outside during a brief respite from the rain. J wanted so badly to be included in the older cousin's group, but he was just too young, plus he brought the lame-ness of an adult into their fun (since we try to keep him in our sight as much as possible!)

Oh hey! What is that? GROSS!! (Also, RIP cricket, J sort of grabbed him too hard then stomped on him. Poor thing :( )

Sarah loved testing our her birthday cupcakes! (had to give it a try!)

Sarah's face everytime little Mick would talk to her! She was terrified of him, why I don't know!

Hey! The whole reason for the party. No, not Noah (sorry dude), Steve! My "little" brother came to town from Wisconsin for a visit. This is the first time he's met Sarah and seen Jeremiah since January 2009!

On the way home we saw an incredible rainbow!
