Happy 8 month birthday, J!!

I have tons of pics. I've been going a bit crazy lately with the camera because he's so adorable.

He's getting so big! Not really in size, but how he acts - he's having more fun, starting to feed himself, and he crawls, as well as pulling up on stuff. He's got me on my toes all the time!

I have no pictures of J sleeping that are recent because I don't want to wake him up - but he fell asleep in the car on the way to Grandma and Grandpa G's house and he was so cute I couldn't help myself.

More birthday fun..

Last night Kim and I went out for a birthday martini at 98 South. It was fun.

Birthday treats!

I am a very lucky woman. I have an amazing and wonderful husband, and a lovely little boy. Shawn totally spoiled me yesterday.

My presents:


An Origins gift basket that spells "relax" - a giant rice bag that you can heat up or cool down for your neck and back, some lavender-vanilla body scrub, body cream, and bubble bath, and a relaxing lavander candle:


And some fab Godiva chocolates. So yummy.


Shawn also made me dinner and we shared a great bottle of wine. (Franciscan 04 Cab) It was a great birthday!!

Other random stuff about me.

1) I loooove coupons. I am a coupon diva. I usually save 40-60% on my grocery bill with coupons. My mom saves her coupons and gives them to me.

2) I also am a complainer. Not like: "Wah I hate my life," like: "Dear Hefty, your Gripper trash bags fall apart." Then they send me a coupon for free stuff. I never hesitate to give a company feedback about a product if it's not doing what it's supposed to.

3) I met my husband on the Internet.

4) We found our first dog, Patches, on the Internet.

5) I love cheese. Especially blue cheese.

6) I love football.

7) I used to have a wild life. I'm so thankful that God brought Shawn and I together and then brought us to Him.

8) I am obsessed with Jeremiah's breath. It smells so good, I'm always trying to sneak smells of it in - he really likes to bite my nose, though.

9) It's my birthday today!! I'm 25...again.

10) Shawn and I thought Jeremiah would marry Bailey. But I think he'll marry Lily.

I'm a winner!! And a random thing about me.

I've been on a little winning streak lately - which is sweet!! First I won a prize at MOPs, then I won the highly coveted prize at Jenny's baby shower, and finally I won a blog makevoer!! Like it? Go check out Shauna's blog and get yours pimped today!!

So, onto my random thing. I have a lot of stuff. Lots of it. How much? Well...I'll show you: (warning to neat freaks..this will bother you!)

Friends, those are 34 pairs of shoes. Including but not limited to, three pairs of black boots, three pairs of brown boots, 4 pairs of Coach shoes and 1 pair of Gucci sandals. (broken Gucci sandals) And 18 pairs of flip flops. I needed to purge!!

After the purge: 14 pairs of shoes and 7 pairs of flops. I think I did pretty well. They all fit here:


Oh the bags. I love bags. You probably know this about me. Especially Coach bags. I have a total of 19 bags, 14 of which are Coach. 16 bags are pictured here.

Oh and one note on Jeremiah. He's no longer satisfied with simply pulling himself up on things. Now he wants to climb them:

Wild man

Jeremiah is crazy! I swear. He never stops moving. When I went in to get him this morning, he was standing up. And he keeps pulling himself up in his crib and tries to pull himself up on anything that he can get his hands on. He seems to have no fear of falling. And he's fast, you glance away for one second and suddenly he's standing up.

And today we lent our bassinet to Jenny so we thought we'd put J in it for fun. Why is his shirt off you ask? I'm not sure. I went upstairs to get it and I came down and it was off. (He was with daddy, I didn't leave him alone!)

Ok, now he's doing better!

We visited the dr's yesterday after his scary evening on Wednesday. His O2 stats were 100%, which is, well, great. (On Tuesday they were 96%) He's still on the breathing treatments but more on an as needed basis. And he and the snot sucker are on a very friendly basis!

He's still a happy and playful guy, and since we really haven't gone anywhere besides the Dr's office...I took tons of pics of him. He plays so well on his own. I set him down, and sometimes he whines for a few seconds, then he crawls off to his toy box and digs in. He doesn't really look back.

Oh, and this morning when I went in to get him, he was standing up in his crib (holding onto the side, of course!) I think he got up and couldn't get back down so he started crying.

Here he is looking like he's about to stand up. I swear one day he'll do it and of course my head will be turned and BAM!

A hat that Dada brought home


He used to be so afraid of the vacuum. Now he tries to play with it. This morning when I was vacuuming the floor he was in his walker and tried to follow it. And last night he wanted to help me dustbust in his room. So cute.


"Please, enough of the pictures, lady!!"


I don't know if 'looking up' is a milestone, but Jeremiah is sure amused by it. He'll be sitting on the floor, look at me, and make this silly noise, smile and look up. I imitate him and he does it back. It's so silly.

Update on J-Rol

Well...I wouldn't say he's doing 'better.' He woke up yesterday from his nap with a 102.1 fever...then it went down overnight. We got the breathing machine and the treatments seem to be working alright. After his nap this afternoon his temp was up again (103.1) and he was breathing rapidly. After a breathing treatment is seemed better, and he was acting so not sick (not lethargic, happy, laughing, etc) so we decided to put him to bed and check his breathing at 930pm when we get him up for a breathing treatment. (he's on them every four hours)

He doesn't really like them too much, but he tolerates them as long as he's being amused.

RSV

Hey, RSV (or Respiratory syncytial virus) - you stink! That is what this our sweet boy was diagnosed with this morning. He has to take breathing treatments because he was wheezing. He also has an ear infection! Please keep him in your prayers, he's pretty miserable. I've been up since about 4am with him...pray for me too that I have the energy to care for him. Also, if you want to throw Shawn in your prayers, that would be great, too, because he's sick again as well. I need to disinfect this house, I think.

He doesn't look like he has RSV... (except for the runny nose part.)

J's noggin was better the next morning! It's amazing how quickly babies heal - I mean, you couldn't even tell there had been a bump there!! Thank you for the reassurance, everyone.
