Oh, Patches!

Patches, our pit bull, had a little medical problem this past week. On Saturday I noticed her ear was swollen. The floppy part of her ear, not the inside part. Shawn took her to the vet and he said to bring her back on Wednesday for 'surgery.' By Wednesday, this is what she looked like:


I was so worried it was an infection and it was going to spread throughout her body. Thank God, it wasn't...apparently she burst a blood vessel inside her ear and she had to have it repaired. So now she looks like this:


She hates it, of course, I think we'll have to get one of those funny cone things so she'll stop scratching it. The bandage comes off in ten days...we're all counting down over here!
