Our poor pumpkin!

We have had a scary 24 hours! Yesterday at about 4pm, Jeremiah had what looked like a seizure while in his bouncy. He had been sleeping, and suddenly his whole body was shaking and his eyes were rolled back. It was over quickly, and I grabbed him and he appeared fine - alert, kind of startled that I woke him up, though. The pediatrician wanted us to take him to the ER, so we took him to Phoenix Childrens Hospital. They immediatley saw us and started runnning tests. First, the CAT scan - which Jeremiah hated.
Then, they poked his little wrists to draw blood and put in an IV. This was horrible - he screamed his head off for at least 20 minutes, and then passed out. His heartrate was over 210 when he would really get going - I was so worried about him!

After the IV battle...

So, then they did a lumbar puncture, which was another 20 minutes of screaming. He really hates being held down, I guess. The doctor was really surprised at how much he fought. They admitted him, and we were taken to a room. He's in a cage:

So far, all tests are ok. We are having an EEG done this afternoon. They were also very concerned with his lingering jaundice (but aren't so much anymore) and also ran an EKG and had a chest x-ray due to a heart murmur they heard. So far, all is well. Mom and Dad are doing okay, tired, slightly stressed, but okay.

PS: It's freezing in here!!
